Shveta Patel is a Developmental Paediatrician, who has strong links with Rural Communities as she also works for the Rural Paediatric Service at PCH.
She has a keen interest in all aspects of the development and learning potential of a child. She is able to screen a child for any underlying neurodevelopmental disorders, which is often done in conjunction with Educational psychologists and Allied Health therapists.
She is interested in the psychosocial background of the child as this affects a child’s developmental and academic progress. She is also a General Paediatrician, but her focus at Perth Paediatrics is on Developmental Paediatrics. She is interested in trying to determine the underlying causes for a child’s behavioural difficulties.
